Vic: McGuire takes out gong in alternative television awards

Sporting commentator EDDIE MCGUIRE has won the title of Australia's worst male TV
personality in a satirical take on the Logies.

The TV Fugly Awards are a playful dig at this Sunday's TV Week Logie Awards in Melbourne,
which MAGUIRE is set to host.

Yesterday MCGUIRE also picked up gongs for most overexposed television personality
and most biased sporting commentator.

More than 21,000 people took part in Fugly Awards voting on the internet.

Some of the other 13 categories include worst television show and biggest crying, blubbering
male on reality TV.

Channel Nine personality CATRIONA ROWNTREE was named Australia's worst female television
personality, while Channel Ten reality show The HotHouse was voted the worst program in
the TV show category.

Awards creator ANTHONY DEVER says the awards are for a laugh and shouldn't be taken
too seriously.
