Siemens Information and Communication Mobile Group (IC Mobile) announced that it has been awarded a contract worth US$22 million by Inner Mongolia Mobile, a provincial subsidiary of China Mobile, to expand the GSM network in northern China's Inner Mongolia. The expansion project, scheduled for completion in April 2003, will be carried out by Siemens Shanghai Mobile Communications (SSMC), a joint venture of Siemens IC Mobile in Shanghai.
